Ebay item 7/28/16 www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XJS-/331920623123
Current bid US $5,000 reserve not met 1 bid 9 days left in auction, seller j1525, 59k miles.
Sellers description:
Up for auction we have a beautiful Black on Black 1989 Convertible Jaguar XJS. A documented low miles, rust free California car. This car has been well maintained and garaged throughout its registered stay in California. Purchased by its current and second owner in 1991 this Jaguar has been a house cat for 20 years. Just recently awoken from a lengthy cat nap, this car starts right up on the turn of the key. Equipped with a V12 engine, it has a healthy strong idle and smooth purr to it as it glides into drive. The suspension on this car does not stray from Jaguar's reputation for building luxurious and extremely comfortable cars and this car truly does feel like its floating as you drive around town.
The interior is lovely with original black carpets and gray trim on the door panels and throughout the car. All interior has almost no signs of wear as this Jaguar has been sparingly driven as indicated by its documented low mileage (59869). The only minimal wear to be seen is on the drivers seat (see picture). The electrical is in decent condition. The indicators self cancel, all lighting fixtures are functional except for the passenger side reverse light. The horn works, as well as the windshield wipers. The convertible top functions easily and properly with the push of a button, and the boot cover is immaculate. At the moment the passenger side window does not open, and is probably in need of a new fuse.
The elegant and sophisticated design of this more modern classic is still a head turner. The exterior body is all very straight without any major dents or dings to be seen anywhere. The black paint is in moderate condition, there are some minor blemishes (see pictures). The wheels are original and could use re-chroming to make perfect, but overall this XJS is in great condition and ready to be driven and enjoyed.
The sale of this XJS comes with a service history dating back to 1993, a Pioneer removable radio/CD player, a spare key, tire and wheel, and a car cover. As always I would advise inspecting the car in person if at all possible. It is absolutely stunning already but a few small upgrades would make this Jaguar all the more beautiful.
