Car to be at auction 5/12
www.barons-auctions.com/details.php
Auction description:
Manufacturer Jaguar Cars
Model XJS 4.0 Convertible
First Registered 1995
Registration No M980 LWK
Engine No 9LPFRB101746
Chassis No SAJJNAFD3EJ196266
MOT May 2013
Colour Flamenco Red
This example was originally registered to Jaguar Cars, Browns Lane as a company car, the vehicle has had 5 former keepers. Has been with the present owner since 2004 and used very sparingly in that time, hence the low recorded mileage, which is believed to be correct with the service booklet showing 11 services between 1995 and 2011 and MOT certificates in support.
Finished in Flamenco red with cream leather interior and equipped with the usual Jaguar options, including a 6-CD Auto-changer, in the boot. The vehicle was valued, for insurance purposes, at £11,000 in 2011.
Why pay £18,000.00 for a Celebration model?
Guide Price: £5000 to £8000

I have rently bought this XJS convertible inEngland & currently in th process of changing the registration to french. It now has twin headlights to meet french regs. It is RHD which believe it ior not is MUCH SAFER in France as the french in the south think they must drive along the white lines(Centre). ie with the steering wheel on the right it's easy to keep out of the way!!!
The car runs beautifully, plenty of power & nice gearbox. I decided to replace brake parts ie pads & one mechanis & overhaul the handbrake system. Expensive but !
Mileage is now 70,000(nov 2012).
New roof to be fitted due to storm damage. IT WILL BE LIKE NEW.
Great 'posing' car as there are very few in SW France;
