This XJS was bought by the present owner and vendor when new in 1988, basically as a toy for high days and holidays, and it is probably one of the finest examples in existence and it is in totally original condition having only completed a mere 14000 miles in that time and just with the single careful owner.

It has been kept in a garage since new and it has never been out in any bad weather but it has been regularly taken out on runs not only to keep the engine sweet but also because it is such a pleasure to drive!

The tyres are the original ones supplied with the vehicle, the spare is unused, and the bodywork and paintwork are all as they were when it left the factory. The interior still has the sweet addictive smell of new Connolly hide and the ashtray and glove compartment have never been used and the vendor informs us that the passenger seat has probably only ever been occupied twice.

This must be the best example on offer and is being reluctantly sold due to the owner retiring abroad and it is being sold with the cherished registration number - 4960 AH - worth quite a few bob on its own!

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
