www.bonhams.com/cgi-bin/public.sh/pubweb/publicSite.r

Auction description:
Sale 18219 - Collectors' Motor Cars, Motorcycles and Automobilia, 17 Nov 2010
Yorkshire Event Centre, Harrogate
Lot No: 749
1991 Jaguar XJ-S 3.6-Litre Coupé
Registration no. H295 GRJ
Chassis no. SAJJNAEC3CA179567
Engine no. 9DPAMA194632
Estimate: £2,750 - 3,250

An automatic transmission model, this 3.6-litre XJ-S Coupé presents very well, with no apparent signs of corrosion, excellent paintwork and a very clean and original interior. RAC documentation on file dated 01.07.94 records Meads of Bolton, Jaguar agents, selling the car to a Mr G Phillips, the recorded mileage being 33,669. The vehicle appears to have been well cared for, though the only service record is by Meads of Bolton who serviced and MoT'd the car on 4.01.95, recording the mileage as 37,749 (the total currently stands at 79,736). Described as in generally god condition, 'H295 GRJ' is offered with all MoTs dating back to January 1995, 12 expired tax discs, various handbooks and warranty booklets, current road fund licence, MoT to July 2011 and Swansea V5.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
