this is not the typical xjs engine swap in an uncompleted non-running project. featured in super chevy magazine in 1994 this car was built with no expenses spared in 1994 at a cost in excess of $25,000 in 1994 dollars. car was stored in CT and used minimally from the late nineties until i purchased in jan 06. am selling due to planned move and no longer wanting to continue storring vehicle in heated strorage facility. originally a low mileaage florida car, car presently has 20000 miles since early nineties restoration was completed. clear MA title shows 19500 miles. presently insured by hagerty at an agreed value of $25000.. late model TPI-equipped 350 motor built by Don Scinto Racing with four-bolt block, steel crank, Speed Pro roller cam and pistons, was set up for NOS.. within the past 700 miles completely rebuilt transmission by ACS RACING in hanover, MA. brand new pirrelli tires on mint $2500 Fitapaldi wheels. new ipod ready alpine stereo. what makes this particular vehicle unicque is mild exterior/ interior custom featuers and the show level of work done particulary the engine comparent. the hood is a brand new early nineties hood that was professionaly louvered. the rear quarter windows were also custom made for the car. unlike early seventy xjs with plastic inserts in the windows , you can actually see out of these and drastically improve the overall appearance. other mild custom features about the exterior include the finish, the entire car is painted red including front and rear bumpers. the original 1976 dash insert was replaced with smith guages and matching wood insert. the original 1976 dash resembled a citroen or puegot dash. this vehicle has the same front and rear suspension as a series 111 XKE. independent rear suspension with 2.88 gear ratio and factory posi-traction the car is available for inspection 20 miles south of boston. a new exhaust system is needed but vehicle has current MA 2006 inspection sticker. i plan on having exhaust replaced within the next few weeks. i estimate the costs to run between $700-$800 as the only factory jaguar component needed is the rear mufflers located behing the IRS rear end these costs $238 per pair . the rest of the system is straight pipes and thrushmaters etc. a very reasonable cost for complete new dual exhaust from the headers back. that is one of the hidden beauties of this vehicle, american not jaguar parts
