Location: Newfield, NY
VIN: SAJTW5845MC177763
29k original miles
Classic Collection trim package
Glacier White exterior with Doeskin interior
Excellent original condition
Private Party or Dealer: Private Party
This 1991 Jaguar XJ-S Coupe is a pre-facelift V12 model with the "Classic Collection" trim package, and has 29k Carfax verified miles from new. The original owner was a collector who drove the car sparingly and always kept it in a climate controlled garage with a trickle charger attached when not in use. The current owner acquired the car in early 2014 after an extensive PPI by the marque specialists at Jaguar Doctor in Boca Raton, Florida. The car required some age related maintenance like new belts and hoses, ignition coils, thermostat, and more, all of which was addressed with receipts viewable below. It has only been driven about 500 miles since then and remains in outstanding cosmetic and mechanical condition.
The exterior is in extremely well-preserved original condition. The Glacier White paint is believed to be all original, and the car has never been in any sort of accident as confirmed by the clean Carfax report. All body panels are original and retain their VIN stickers. The "Classic Collection" edition included a few unique trim details such as a gold Jaguar "growler" emblem on the hood and lattice wheels with unique center caps. Overall the car is in outstanding condition for a never-restored 25 year old car, evidence of careful ownership from new.
Inside the car is equally nice, with leather surfaces in excellent condition and no cracks in the dash or wood trim. The original Jaguar factory radio is still installed and all electronics work correctly, including the air conditioning. Doeskin leather seats with contrasting piping are unique to the Classic Collection cars.
The 5.3L V12 engine is in excellent condition, and the car runs and drives like new. The mechanic who performed the PPI in 2014 recommended replacement of all belts and hoses, the coolant expansion tank, both ignition coils, both thermostats, and various other maintenance items. There were no other maintenance needs at that time, and the car has been driven only sparingly since then. A receipt detailing the work performed is included in the gallery below.
The undercarriage is clean and dry with no evidence of rust. The factory undercoating remains intact and in good condition.
