Ebay item 8/2/16
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XJS-XJS-/232031965280
Current bid US $2,325.00
Reserve not met 4 bids 6 days left in auction, seller misschitown, 134k miles.

Sellers description;
A pilot, has owned this XJS for approximately 16 years. He has recently decided that since he has not been using the car as much in the summer time as he has in the past that the car should have a new owner who will appreciate it and enjoy driving it as much as he has..

This particular XJS roadster is in one of the most popular colors - red. The car was repainted about ten years ago. The soft top is in very nice condition, however it has one little one inch cut on the top (see pixs). Yes, the power top works very nicely as it goes up and down. The car is equipped with air conditioning but the private seller says he thinks it needs a charge. Both power windows work. Glass all appears to be in fine condition. The car looks to be a straight car and doors open and close as they should. The wheels look fine and the car is equipped with an optional hood ornament.

As you can see from the pictures the engine looks nice and clean and really sounds nice! This car even comes with the original tool kit.

The radio works but is kind of 'scratchy'. However, when the radio is turned on the power antenna goes up and down as it should. Yes the windshield wipers are also in working order.

Here at MissChiTown we don't need to tell you that XJS's, especially the convertibles roadsters are accelerating very quickly in price. The private seller tells us a great point about this car is that the V12 engine and transmission are fine working order.

It should be mentioned in reference to the paint that while it is all in very nice condition the clear coat on the top of the fenders and one part of the cowl is kind of getting flaky.

The seller would like to mention that the car could use an alignment because it has a slight pull to the left. Also, the cruise control is not currently working.

Now for the really good news, the seller has indicated that while this is an auction, if somebody is truly interested in buying this car and preserving it and giving it the TLC that he has given it and making the necessary improvements to the car which of course include some interior repairs as you can see in the photos. He would consider an offer of $3,900.00.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
