Lot #75112
This 1991 Jaguar XJS is a Classic Collection convertible powered by a fuel-injected 5.3-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, and it is finished in white over beige leather. Equipment includes a black soft top, 15″ wire wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, cruise control, automatic climate control, an AM/FM cassette stereo, power windows, and heated seats. The car spent time in Kentucky and Oklahoma before being acquired by the selling dealer in 2018. Subsequent service reportedly included replacement of the tachometer and a window regulator. This XJS convertible shows 32k miles and is offered at no reserve by the selling dealer with manufacturer’s literature, a tool kit, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Oklahoma title.
The car is finished in white and features a power-operated black soft top. Additional exterior details include a front spoiler, quad headlamps, fog lights, a chrome windshield surround and side mirror caps, a retractable antenna, a polished fuel filler cap, dual exhaust outlets, and a Classic Collection badge.
Chrome-finished 15″ wire wheels are mounted with 235/60 Cooper Cobra radial tires, and a full-size spare is stowed in the trunk. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes. Service performed in May 2019 included a brake fluid flush and replacement of the front brake pads.
The cabin features beige leather seat upholstery that is joined by matching door panels, gray carpeting, and wood trim on the center console, dash, and doors. Amenities include heated seats, cruise control, automatic climate control, a factory AM/FM cassette stereo, and power windows. The selling dealer states that portions of the burled wood trim have been refinished and a window regulator was recently replaced.
A four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, and vertically-oriented auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage. The tachometer was reportedly replaced by the selling dealer, and the six-digit mechanical odometer shows just over 32k miles.
The fuel-injected 5.3-liter V12 was rated at 263 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque when new. Service carried out in July 2019 included replacement of the air conditioning compressor and drier, fuel pump, and heater valve. The selling dealer states that an oil change was performed in December 2021.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission. Service carried out in 2019 includes the replacement of a transmission mount bushing. Corrosion is visible on underbody components.
A tool kit and manufacturer’s literature are included in the sale.
