This 1991 Jaguar XJS convertible is finished in Signal Red over Doeskin leather and powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a black soft top, heated and power-adjustable sport seats with lumbar support, power windows and door locks, automatic climate control, and a factory cassette stereo. The seller acquired the car in 2020, and work has since included installation of a stainless steel exhaust system, an R134a air conditioning conversion, and replacement of the soft top, tires, transmission mounts, front shocks, and oil pan gaskets. This XJS convertible is offered with a window sticker, partial service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
The body is finished in Signal Red (CFC) and features impact bumpers with chrome trim, fog lights, a power antenna, and dual exhaust outlets. The black soft top and headliner were replaced in March 2021 by Hoyt’s Automotive of Sarasota, Florida. The cowl vent was refinished and touch-up paint has been applied to the body.
Silver 15″ basketweave wheels feature Jaguar-logo center caps and are mounted with 235/60 Pirelli P600 tires that were installed in January 2020. The front shocks were replaced at that time and a front end alignment was performed. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes.
The cabin features heated and power-adjustable seats upholstered in Doeskin leather with red piping, along with a matching center console and door panels, a black dashboard, and refinished wood trim veneers. Amenities include cruise control, a lockable glovebox and rear storage compartment, an AM/FM cassette stereo, and power windows and door locks. The air conditioning system was converted to use R134a refrigerant and fitted with a replacement compressor and receiver/drier in 2020.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, and a six-digit mechanical odometer that shows 27k miles, approximately 500 of which were added by the seller. The fuel tank sending unit was replaced in October 2020, though the gauge does not show a full tank.
The 5.3-liter HE V12 was factory rated at 263 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque and power is sent to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission. Service under current ownership included replacing the oil pan gaskets, exhaust system, and transmission mounts. An oil change was performed in 2021.
The window sticker shows initial delivery to Bishop Motors of Norton, Ohio along with the factory colors, options, and a total suggested retail price of $64,180.

Ebay item 2/18/22
Car has a buy it now price of $27,995 for 9 days, seller lsen1154, same location, did not sell at above BAT auction.
Seller's description:
This is one of the best XJ-S’ you will find and it is ready to go and needs nothing that I am aware of.
You will be hard pressed to find one in better condition. This XJ-S is not your normal ratty condition XJ-S requiring $k’s of work and then some. Perfect wood, perfect wheels, new top new headliner, new from shocks, new tires, no leaks, everything works. No door dings no scratches seats are immaculate. The underside is extra clean and the car has zero rust. I have have owned several Xj-S and as a member of the local jaguar club I have them judged annually. My 1991 coupe has won first place the last few years and this car is in better condition. Clean car fax and up to date service. If you are a serious buyer I can send a link to 135 detailed photos.
The car has two sets of keys, original sticker and owners manual. I currently have 5 jags along with 4 other collector cars and need to sell a few for space reasons, that is the only reason I am parting with this car.
