Ebay item 9/27/23www.ebay.com/itm/256233480432
Opening bid $9,000 reserve not met 0 bids, 9 days left in auction, seller norrirober, Houston, Texas, 136k miles
Seller's description:
1995 Jaguar XJS 2+2. I have owned this car for around 6 years and it has performed well the entire time. This vehicle is fresh from the paint shop with a beautiful $8,000 mirror finish paint job in the original Ice blue color. The car runs and drives exceptionally well, and everything works - the AC blows cold, the power windows raise and lower quickly, the brakes are firm, the power steering works and does not squeal, the engine runs strong and does not smoke, even on startup. There are new matching tires all around. I trust this car to perform well as a daily driver if that is your objective.
Now the negatives
- The seats were recovered in vinyl before I purchased the car. The material is passable - no cracks or tears - but is not leather.
- The convertible tops shows wear.
- The radio was replaced with an aftermarket unit which is not currently functioning.

Ebay item 1/31/24
Opening bid $6,000 reserve not met 0 bids, 9 days left in auction, seller Ener-Gen Enterprises LLC, 138k miles, same location and photos.
Seller's description:
I bought this car around 8 years ago and it has always been dependable and runs well. I ran well enough for me to let my son drive it to college and he used it as his daily driver with no issues. Don't worry - it's not fast enough to drag race. A new Civic will take you off the line. It is however GREAT for date night and weekend drives with the top down. You'll get a lot of smiles and thumbs up. New paint, new starter and alternator. No smoke, starts easily and I drive it to work at least 3 times a week. The air blows cold, and it does not leak.
Now the negatives:
About a year ago I was sideswiped on the rear driver's side rear quarter panel. The damage was minor, but the car that hit me reported the accident. Now the carfax shows a minor accident on the report and the rating number went way negative. As a result of the accident, I got a great paint job on the car. It shows well from any distance. Mirror smooth. Subtle hand painted pinstripes. You cannot see any hint of the body repair.
The heater does not work. The problem is the air box inside the dash. If you want heat, this will not be easy to get to.
It needs an updated sound system. No phone connection.
I am not happy with the seats. At some point the front seats were recovered with vinyl. I believe they should be leather. You can get a front and rear full leather set from a website fir around $800 with perforated seating and contrast piping. With the leather redone this car would be incredible.
The opening bid reflects the issues. I love the car, but at 65 it's a bit difficult to get in and out. My wife won't drive it at all. It's time to say "good bye" and get something less interesting but more practical.
