This 1993 Jaguar XJS coupe was first registered in California and later spent time in Nevada, Virginia, Maryland, and Texas prior to its purchase in 2012 by the current owner, who subsequently added 15k of the 69k miles now shown. The car was repainted in its factory Brooklands Green during current ownership and received a partially reupholstered tan interior. Power comes from a 4.0-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed automatic transmission, and equipment includes chrome-finished 15″ basketweave wheels, fog lights, an onboard computer, and power-adjustable and heated front seats. Service performed in preparation for the sale reportedly included refinishing the valve cover, recharging the air-conditioning system, an oil change, and replacement of the valve cover gasket, the antenna, and the front and rear brake rotors, calipers, and pads. This XJS is now offered at no reserve on behalf of its current owner with a clean Carfax report and a clean California title.

During current ownership, the exterior received a glass-out respray in its factory Brooklands Green. Equipment includes headlight washers, smoked taillights, front and rear fog lights, and chrome trim and mirror caps. The seller reports that dents on the left-rear fender were repaired during the refurbishment, and images showing the damage and the repaint process are provided in the gallery below.

Factory 15″ basketweave wheels are finished in chrome with black accents and Jaguar-logo center caps. They wear 235/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires up front and 235/60 Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires out back, the former of which have visible cracks on the sidewalls. The seller states that the front and rear brake rotors, calipers, and pads were recently replaced, and reports that the front suspension bushings are in need of replacement.

The interior features tan leather that extends from the seating surfaces to the dashboard and center console, as well as color-coordinated carpets protected by matching floor mats. Wood trim accents the fascia, center console, and door panels, and amenities include heated and power-adjustable front seats, climate control, and power windows and mirrors. During current ownership, the front seats and center glove box cover were reupholstered. The seller states that the air-conditioning system was recently recharged, but notes that the zone selection function does not work. The radio and power locks also do not work.

Instrumentation set behind the four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel includes a 160-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer. The six-digit odometer shows 69k miles, approximately 15k of which were added during current ownership. The 4.0-liter inline-six features an aluminum block and dual-overhead camshafts, and power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed ZF automatic transmission. Work performed in preparation for the sale reportedly included refinishing the valve cover, replacing the valve cover gasket, and an oil change.

The June 2020 Carfax report lists no accidents or other damage and shows registration history in California, Nevada, Virginia, Maryland, and Texas through its most recent entry in January 2020.
