I stripped this car down to the metal for painting, and had all dings and dents taken out before painting it back to the original color. Also have installed an in-line fuel filter. This car seems to be a special order. Sun-roof, fog lamps, and front under engine spoiler

Ebay item 2/22/11 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-XJS-H-E-1984-V-12-Engine-Low-Miles-low-reserve-/2 ...
Current bid $4,150 reserve not met, 20 bids 1 day left in auction.
Sellers description:
I am the 2nd owner of this 1984 Jaguar XJS; which I consider in good condition. This car's exterior has been stripped to the metal and repainted professionally to it's original color, summer of 2010. I also had the dents, dings, and small areas of rust repaired and removed from this vehicle before it was painted. However, during removing the paint some chemicals spilled next to the "G" in Jaguar on the rear end name tag and onto the rear tail-lights; I have attached photos of this. A carfax comes with this vehicle, this car has had "no" accidents. New tires have 4,000 miles on them; rated for 60,000. I did alot of driving last summer. I also installed an inline fuel filter this summer; which seems to give better fuel flow. The left front low beam has been replaced in January.
This car has always been garaged, and a new car cover goes with the car. This car has all of it's original manuals. I will also include the jaguar repair book from Hanes, the repair and parts cd from the Jaguar Trust, and "The Book" an over 700 page cd on jaguar owners experiences and how to save money on repairs and parts for this specific model.
Power steering/tele-scopic steering, power sunroof, AM-FM radio cassette player, electric power mirrors, electric windows, cruise control, trip odometer display that gives you trip miles, fuel used, average miles per gallon, instant miles per gallon, and of course clock. The engine is a V-12. The car is pretty impressive on the road; most cars would probably blow their engine trying to keep up with it. Nice running car.
The cruise doesn't seem to work or has been disconnected, drivers side electric mirror and rear radio antenna work when they want; probably a short. AC works, but needs to be re-charged. Front seats have some of the stitching coming out.(see pictures). Interior roof upholstery sagging a little in the back of the car. Car has a good heater. The H.E. stands for high efficiency. I can say that I've gotten 18.5 mpg highway on trips over 45 minutes, but city driving it runs around 12 to 14 depending how you drive. This vehicle is being sold "As Is".
The jaguar xjs model was made for 21 years between 1975 to 1996, the H.E. version of the car was built between 1981 and 1990. They made about 55,000 2 door coupes during these 9 years; so about 6,000 cars made every year. I think my car was a special order because of the sun-roof, fog lamps, spoiler under front engine. PREVIOUS OWNER'S WRITE-UP: ALPINE BLUE WITH CASHMERE LEATHER UPHOLSTERY AND LIGHT POPLAR WOOD INTERIOR TRIM, MAPLIGHTS, REAR DEFROST, CLIMATE CONTROL, JAGUAR PREMIUM SURROUND SOUND SYSTEM W/TAPE PLAYER, V12 ENGINE GAUGE CLUSTER, DUAL EXHAUST PLUS TWO KEYS, PREMIUM CLASSIC JAGUAR MESH ALLOY WHEELS, POWER CAME FROM THE JAGUAR V12 PETROL ENGINE. V-12 AUTOMOBILES ARE UNUSUAL BUT COMPARED TO ANY OTHER PERFORMANCE LUXRY CAR IS PERFERED BY CHOICE AND IS ABLE TO ACCELERATE TO 60MPG IN JUST 8.9 SECONDS REACHING 142MPH!(This 142mph is with the pedal only 80% down!).

Paul,
Sometimes I wonder if selling my car on Ebay is liking selling it at a garage sale. This is probably the worst time to sell a classic. Any Ideas?

This is a very nice car. Drives very well. I replaced all the shocks and springs on it last year. interior shows very little wear. The only reason I sell is because my company has relocated me to another state. Anyone who loves jaguars will love this car.
