Ebay item 11/9/14 www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XJS-V-12-Jaguar-XJS-1986-/291290509579
Opening bid US $2,000 no bids no reserve, 6 days left in auction, buy it now price $3,000. 39k miles.
Sellers description:
1986 Jaguar XJS V12, black with tan interior. Up until 2 weeks ago it was running and I used it for local driving, mostly for driving around with my grandchildren. Now the starter died (click, click, click); battery was replaced last winter. I have too many car projects right now to spend more time working on this beautiful but exasperating car (I collect and restore VW beetles). The body is in very good shape, no dents and just a few very minor rust spots. Front bumper good, rear bumper showing some rust; has four very good Pirelli tires and full sized Pirelli spare. All glass and plastic is intact. Other than the starter, the following are known to be in need of repair: speedometer (has about 38000 miles before it stopped working this spring), emergency brake cable, horn (typical of this car), air conditioning (needs a charge), cruise control. All lights work as well as the wipers (I replaced that along with the alternator this year). Driver's seat needs to be re-sewn, otherwise, interior is in very good condition, even the radio works. My next scheduled project with this car was to replace or boil out the radiator and probably replace the 3 radiator hoses, two thermostats and two radiator caps (this is why I like classic Beetles). I'm including a replacement driver's side power window motor and regulator which I had intended to replace but never did. I've had this car for about 12 years and I have fallen out of love with it; I always get stopped by strangers commenting positively about its beauty and I have to admit, it is a beautiful car but honestly, it is difficult to work on and being a senior citizen, I am beginning to have trouble doing so and therefore I am going to part with it.

Sellers description:
1986 Jaguar starts and drives but not on road; I've only driven around the block. It has sat for some time I would not drive further without full mechanical review. Good candidate for restoration, solid body but needs paint. Has new hightorque starter, new alternator. Seller reserves the right to end auction early.
