107,000 MILES, ON EBAY 04/07, SELLER WRITES:
Your bidding on a 1983 jaguar xjs. This car I bought in 2002 and have made many upgrades. Since I bought the car I have drove the car approximately 500 miles only. The paint and body kit are 2 years old and looks like new it has been garaged ever since. There are no noticeable scratches or dents of any kind , the paint is awesome. The car has never been wrecked that I know of and there was no bondo used when it was painted. The body is very straight. While the body is in awesome shape the interior is in need of some work. The headliner is coming down as seen from the back in some of the pictures. The front seats have some cracks and seems that have split and the dash has a couple small cracks in it. The back seat is in great shape and has no visible problems. There are also the front lower corners of the door panels , it appears that they have possibly gotten wet before I owned the car and are a little warped . All of these interior problems can be fixed easily by a interior shop. The rear window seal has some cracks in it also. I replaced the rack and pinion and bushings in 03 and the front rotors and pads and all four balljoints and upper a-arm bushings along with having the car alligned. Also in 03 I bought the 18 inch wheels and tires that still have almost full tread and are in awesome shape , I also bought an installation kit to put the chevy 305 motor and 700r4 automatic transmission and wiring in . Other new 04 parts: radiator thermostat and gasket waterpump and gasket timing chain and gasket radiator and heater hoses heater core intake and carb gaskets rebuilt carburater exhaust gaskets complete dual exhaust and tips alternator sparkplugs distributor and rotor and high temp wires oil pan gasket battery The kit that I used looks professional and looks like the cars original motor and most importantly the car is reliable. In 06 I rewired the front headlights and put a newer fuse box under the hood so they wood work properly. In 07 I have put new carpet in the trunk and added new pioneer cd stereo. There a couple of other things that I should mention like the car has a very slow power steering leak and last time I drove the car the speedometer stopped working and I think its only a loose plug possibly. Also I think possibly before two long the car might need a set of rear brake pads. This car has been a lot of fun for me and I hope the person who buys this car will have just as much or more fun with it also . The jag always gets a lot of looks and is the nicest one I have seen. The new paint and new tires/wheels and the great suspension and tight steering make this car well worth it. Happy Bidding and thank you for inquiring about my jag.
