Ebay item 2/27/12
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1985-Jaguar-XJS-V12-/220964159713
Opening bid $3,400, no reserve 2 days left in auction. 96k miles.

Sellers description:
This is a fine example of a very rare 1987 red XJS. Jaguar buffs say that this is one of 350 cars built between 1987 thru 1989 that were in celebration of Jaguar's wins at Le Mans 24-hour races. TWR cars were a joint venture between Jaguar and Tom Walkinshaw Racing (TWR). Tony recently passed away. This is not a 6-litre car with special badging that started in 1990. They were green. The ones I am talking about were made in tribute to the wins at Le Mans 24-hour. This car is a real treat to drive. Buyer will have great fun owning the car. It gets rave attention everywhere it goes: car cruises, local car shows, etc., etc. It won 2 shows in its class. It simply outclasses the regular XJS coupes convertibles. It gets thumbs up all the time. it is an exotic looking car thus all the constant attention. the tires are red line radials, like new. the wheels are in beautiful shape, no corrosion. No rust under car, very clean. Only place on body small scrape from lift in front of passenger wheel touched up. Shocks, suspension very tight. nice driving car. The v12 pulls solid thru all gears. Nice torque in 12-cylinder motors. The car has a great feel. Very tight ride. Solid exhaust nice, no leaks. Tight transmission, no leaks. There is no oil under the car engine. No smoke. The starter was replaced. All gauges work. The air kicks on. All air controls cycle, radio am fm cassette, all work great. No check engine lights on. All power windows work. No broken glass on car. the leather seats are very nice aside from the stitching coming loose in several seams and can suggest where to get it done cheap. Headliner is starting to sag, can tell where to get it repaired at a reasonable cost, if new owner would like probably less expensive than your local trim person. The car has original owner's manual, in original pouch. Original tools in pouch. Original jack and nice spare. Trunk clean as new. Carpet is clean. No wear on carpet. It has carpet mats, say Jaguar as the carpet drivers. Wood is in very good shape, all there. Wipers work as do turn signals, could use new passenger tail light. Lens reasonable and easy to find on eBay, faded mostly, European headlights as per TWR cars. No smoking. only three people has had it as driver-owner. Extremely clean and solid western car. The gold jaguar piece on hood looks great, subject of many comments. Grill looks great. This is a rare very nice example of a V12 Jaguar.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
