Ebay item 3/4/15
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XJS-Base-Coupe-2-Door-1986-jaguar-xjs-base-coupe-2-door- ...
Opening bid US $18,000 reserve not met no bids 6 days left in auction, buy it now price $25,000. 98k miles.

Sellers description:
Up for sale beautiful dark gray 1986 Jaguar XJS Coupe that i got as a present in 2010, i tried to keep it original but the original engine and wiring gave me so much problems that i converted to this and i'm very happy with the outcome. Exterior and paint in good condition, the car was painted 15 years ago and still looks good. minor scratches and dents which you can expect from 29 year old car. The car has been modified, it has brand new front 4 piston calipers, brake pads are racing pads called Yellow Stuff, it has drilled ans slotted rotors on all 4 sides, the rear has been upgraded with outboard brakes, all brake lines have been replaced with high quality stainless steel braided high pressure brake lines that makes a huge difference in brake feel and performance. New brake master cylinder. Differential is also upgraded from 2.88 to 3.54 gear ratio from 94 XJS. The Rack And Pinion is brand new. Suspension in the front is lowered and it has Koni 3 way adjustable shocks, the rear has 4 QA1 18 way adjustable coilovers with 275LBS ratting springs, with rear shocks set to 1, the car rides very smooth and glides on Los Angeles bumpy freeways, you can raise the stiffness and transform this Grand Turismo car to Track car within seconds. The wheels are from C5 Corvette, 17 inch front, 18 inch rear. The engine is out of 2012 C6 Corvette, LS3, when i purchased the engine last summer from a wrecked car, it had 5,000 miles on it, now it has 6000, i don't drive it much, the fuse box, ECU, BCM,engine harness are all from same year car. Its wired just like Corvette with push start Corvette button, FOB key transmitter just like in the Corvettes, without it, you can't start the engine. It's like having your own security system. It has two modes, you can either start the engine with the Jaguar ignition key or by pressing the Corvette button but you have to change it in the tune which takes 20 seconds with writing it on the computer. I did it this way, because i use to have C6 cluster in the car (fully functioning) but i put the Jaguar original cluster back on. The Climate Control is new and works great on all modes, which is very very hard to find, the A/C wiring has been complete, the condenser, evaporator/dryer are all on the car with lines, only thing that's missing is A/C compressor and bracket witch needs to come from 90's Camaro, top mount because LS1 to LS3 compressors and brackets won't clear engine mount, but the wiring is all there ready to go. The engine has been upgraded with Night Fury Cam, PAC Racing dual springs with titanium retainers, brand new intake and exhaust valves, Comp Cam .0745 pushrods, double roller sprocket and chain, new gaskets and seals from top to bottom, new alternator, new power steering pump, and pulleys, new harmonic balancer, new poly engine and transmission mounts. The transmission is newly rebuild T56 6 speed with Hertz shifter. It also has engine oil cooler with fan and temp sensor to automatically come on when hot and high pressure oil hoses but currently not connected to the engine. The car dynoed 456WHP 450WTQ on DynoDynamics Dyno with base tune that Lethal Racing gives with their Night Fury cam package. The dyno video can be viewed on youtube along with other videos i have there of this car with current engine and previous LS1 383 Stroker engine and auto transmission i had in there. Just type LS1 383 stroker Jaguar XJS for old engine videos or LS3 Jaguar XJS for new videos. It also has 1 7/8 inch longe tube stainless steel custom headers, 3 inch exhaust with Borla mufflers. The interior is in very good shape, i dynamat everything inside from firewall, inside doors, quarter panels, floors, and all around back seat, transmission tunnel. With windows closed it's very quite inside. The dashboard is new, the cluster is in very good shape also, the front seats are black color because the original driver seat was in bad shape, i got a good deal on 92 Jaguar XJS, power and heated seats and installed them in the car but they're not connected, the seat control units are under the seat with the wiring harness but i didn't have time to finish the wiring, I have the wiring diagrams also if you decide want to connect or go with original 1986 manual seats. The seat buttons are also installed on center console. The center console has been converter from auto transmission configuration to manual with one cup holder which this cars don't come with one, the left ashtray is being used for OBDII connector. This car is absolute joy to drive, it has a race car looks the power with handling to go with it. All the work has been done by me and only me, i love cars and there is not many things that i can't do myself so i like to do all the work to my liking. The car is not emission legal, does not have catalytic converters or any emission related stuff on it, which makes it really hard to own it in Los Angeles with tough emission laws. I use to live in Tennessee and this car had just catalytic converters on it and it passed emission there no problem, California is a little more extreme. I do have catalytic converters and i can install it on the car upon request but it will be little extra. It's a great car and one of a kind. There are many V8 converted XJS's out there but none of them like this one.Every time i drive this car, i get complements from everyone for how the car looks and sounds.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
