This 1989 Jaguar XJ-S V12 convertible was purchased by a member of the seller’s family in April 1994, and it has been registered in Virginia since then. The was acquired by the seller in September 2015, and it has spent much of its time in storage. Finished in Signal Red over Barley leather, the car is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include a limited-slip differential, a black soft top, European-specification headlights, 15″ wire-spoke alloy wheels, heated seats, a cassette stereo, cruise control, and automatic climate control. This XJ-S V12 convertible is now offered at no reserve with the owner’s manual and a clean Virginia title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Signal Red (CFC) and features a black soft top, European-specification headlights, front fog lights, chrome mirror caps, a power antenna, and dual exhaust outlets. An aftermarket antenna is affixed to the third brake light. Photos detailing finish imperfections are visible.
The 15″ wire-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with Michelin Harmony tires, which are cracked. Braking is provided by four-wheel anti-lock discs. The brake actuator and master cylinder were replaced in December 2024, at which time the brake fluid was changed.
The cabin features heated seats upholstered in Barley leather (AFW) along with burl wood veneer accents on the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Interior features include a cassette stereo, cruise control, and automatic climate control. A portion of the center console has been replaced. A popped seam is present on the driver seat’s lower outside bolster.
The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 66k miles, approximately 32k of which were added under current ownership. The Carfax report lists a mileage inconsistency in a May 2021 entry.
The 5.3-liter V12 was factory rated at 262 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque. Belt squeak is present when the engine is cold, and the seller tells us the car needs to be serviced prior to regular use.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.
