Ebay item 1/9/18
www.ebay.com/itm/1987-Jaguar-XJS-XJ-SC-Cabriolet/202179660934
Opening bid US $7,500, no reserve, no bids 6 days left in auction, seller pjmartel, 126k miles.
Sellers description:
Up for sale is my rare (if you're looking at it, I assume you know just how few were imported to the US) 1987 Jaguar XJ-SC. I don't want to part with her, but I'm retiring to a smaller place and won't have any room for her. I'm the second owner, and it's been pampered her whole life. 5.3 V12 engine fires right up, idles at 900 rpm, and runs cool and smooth. Oil changed every 1000 miles, newer belts and hoses, and other maintenance done religiously. Has never seen a drop of water since I've owned her, and is stored under cover in a climate controlled garage. Newer custom interior, body in very good shape, one repaint by the previous owner, no rust at all (one very small paint bubble on the lower left from fender that has remained the same size), very good Pirelli tires, newer rear convertible top and hardtops redone. Odometer shows just over 26,000, but I assume it has turned over. The speedo stopped last October - I assume it to be the sensor on the side of the tranny ($100.00 part and 2 minute swap). Also will come with the rear hardtop (I've never had it on the car) as well as maintenance items (plug wires, cap, hoses, etc.). Again, hate to part with her, as I know the value is going to go up in the future, and it's the best, most fun vintage car I've owned. Any questions at all feel free to email me. Buyer is responsible for all transportation arrangements and costs, but I will make myself available to assist in loading. This is a NO RESERVE auction - someone will be getting a really nice car! Good Luck!!!
