On AutoTrader USA February 18, 2015. Asking USD $ 10,600, with 28,700 original miles. Car is now located in Jamestown, New York. VIN is SAJNV3844HC136577.
All records, Excellent condition, Looks & drives great, Very clean interior, Well maintained. Air conditioned. Car was purchased in Germany and imported here by it's original owner while he was in the military. Original cost was $37,882. I am the 3rd owner, have owned the car for about 14 months and decided I want something older. Will look at trades. Upper and lower ball joints, transmission mount and front engine mounts were replaced. Brakes and tires are excellent. Interior is in excellent condition. Non-smoker car. Leather, carpets, dash and all interior trim are what you would expect of a 28,000 mile car. Car has original T-Tops and and hard top which looks like new. Paint is in excxellent condition. Have original paperwork, manuals and booklets as well as maintenance records. This is a very nice and well kept car. It is located in Jamestown, NY.
Previously June 06, 2012 the car is located in Chapel Hill, NC. This car was purchased in Germany and imported here to the U.S. by my friend’s father in 1987 while he was in the Air Force. The car originally cost $37,882. The car has always been garage kept and meticulously maintained and comes along with all records to prove it. The car currently has 27,750 miles on the odometer which are original miles and has had lots of recent maintenance work completed. To include new upper and lower ball joints, new transmission mount, as well as new front engine mounts. My friend Vince is the kind of guy you would want to buy a car from, simply because of the way he maintains all of his vehicles. If something needs to be done, he does it, no questions asked. This car is in impeccable running order and there is NO doubt in my mind that anywhere you want to drive the car you can and will be able to do it.

Ebay item 2/20/11
cgi.ebay.ca/Jaguar-XJS-/200576578880
Car has a buy it now price of $17,500 for 3 days.
Sellers description:
Impeccably maintained, immaculate condition, near flawless example of a 1987 Jaguar XJS-C V-12 with all of the original purchase paperwork. I am listing this car for a close friend in the Chapel Hill NC area. His father purchased this car new in Germany and had it shipped to the U.S. through the military in 1987. I have pictures you will notice of the original paperwork where the car was purchased in Germany also showing the original purchase price of over $37k. If you are interested in a car of this caliber, you also realize maintenance is everything. This car retains all of its original body panels and paint and has always been housed indoors. It has always receieved all its required service and is in outstanding mechanical condition with everything working and operating like it should. It is a true pleasure to drive. I have sold vehicles on here before and the question always comes up, "If I were to fly in and want to drive it home, do you see any reason why I couldn't?" The answer to that would be no, no reason why you couldn't drive this car anywhere. This car would drive coast to coast and back if that is what you wanted to do. Body The paint is in near flawless condition. There are a couple of dings in the door but VERY VERY minor and the quality of the paint is 9.5 out of 10 due to the car always being kept in a garage The car has never been wrecked and retains all of its original body panels. The chrome is nice and bright and looks awesome, again car has always been inside. Interior The pictures speak for themselves. Only one word to describe the interior of this car, IMMACULATE. Honestly that doesn't even do it justice. The car comes with a soft top and hard top and removable T-Top roof panels. All of these are original and in awesome shape as well. What makes this car unique is the top configuration, it is a three piece top, two forward panels and the rear section. When all removed you still have a center support bar. It looks outstanding with the open roof. Mechanicals The car has always been maintained. Everything has been done and the car is completely up to date on everything. Just had a complete service done on the car prior to listing to ensure the new owner would get a good car with no worries. My friend is the kind of guy you want to buy a car from. He always maintains his vehicles to the highest standards. Features Specifications • 5.3L / V12 / SOHC / 24V / Fuel Injected • 3 Speed Automatic Transmission • Hardtop / Convertible • Intermittent Windshield Wipers • Power Brakes • Power Steering • Tachometer • Telescopic Steering Wheel • Trip Computer • Alloy Wheels • Bucket Seats • Lighted Entry System • Power Door Locks • Power Windows • Power Mirrors • Targa Top w/ Glass (Removable) Conclusion This is a great car to drive and own. One that you can purchase knowing full well you are getting what you pay for and you are getting a car that has been very well maintained. These cars especially ones with a unique history and documentation are always on the rise in price and make great investments as well as fun cars.
