For sale on AutoTrader USA October 04, 2011.

This is a 1987 Jaguar XJS Cabriolet with a 5.3L V12 engine. It has a champagne exterior and tan/brown leather interior and seats two. The cabriolet has two removable roof panels and the back window folds down. I have the storage bags for the panels and the bonnet for the top, but it's not shown installed in the photos. Also included are the owner's manual, the original tool kit, and two Jaguar books. I purchased this car in 1999 as a project car that would be fun to drive, too. I tuned it up and got it running well and drove it for a few months, then started traveling extensively for work and had to put it in the garage. Twelve years, a wife and two little girls later, I just don't have the time/space/money to work on it like I'd planned. I've always kept the car garaged and it starts right up every time. The body is in good condition. It has some minor dents and paint flaws, but nothing major. The interior is in decent/good condition, with only the usual wear for the age. It's a great car and is really fun to drive, especially with the top down. Now for the flaws: One of the rear brake calipers needs to be rebuilt, and the tires are quite old since it hasn't been driven much. The hood ornament is missing. I have two (one flat and one raised) but I'm not sure which is the correct one for this car. I've never used the A/C and it does not seem to be working at the moment. Also, the spare tire is missing. Also, the trip computer does not turn on, but may just be a bad fuse. It's a beautiful car with a powerful engine and is a lot of fun to drive. I'm asking $7500 or best offer. I prefer either cash or PayPal. I have a clean title and AutoCheck report available.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
