Car to be at auction 7/12
www.coys.co.uk/auction.php

Auction description:
Lot 164 - 1989 Jaguar XJS 5.3 V12 HE
Estimate: £3,000 - £5,000
Registration Number: G994 VJH
Chassis Number: SAJJNAEW388159852

This very fine example has had only three owners from new, and is offered in traditional British Glacier White with full magnolia leather interior and contrasting burgundy piping; the vendor describes the bodywork and interior condition as excellent. This car was subject to a full condition assessment by Knowles Wilkins Engineering in 2008 and they reassuringly commented that it was the best XJS they had seen.

Lovingly cared for, the car now comes with a full and comprehensive service maintenance record by a combination of Jaguar main dealers, and Jaguar specialist KWE of Newbury, and also, unusually, retains its original leather bound sales folder from dealers Julians of Reading and its original XJS handbook.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
