The much rarer and highly desirable convertible example we have on offer for you today dates from 1988 and has has the silky smooth 5343cc V12 engine. It has completed 58000 miles, which is believed to be correct from new, and in fact we believe that is has a virtually complete service history. It has been converted to run on unleaded fuel, has just been fully serviced and the freon for the air conditioning recharged and now sports a CD interchanger.

It is described as being superb condition throughout and it comes in what must be one of the best colour combinations as it has light blue metallic coachwork with the grey leather interior and the dark blue power operated hood. Its specification includes heated seats, a lumbar support and the TWR alloys and these cars are wonderful to own and drive and phenomenal value in today's market.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
