    Ebay item 10/16/11
    cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1986-Jaguar-XJSC-2-Seat-v12-Rare-Very-few-U-S-/250911185 ...
Current bid $3,300 reserve not met, 8 bids 3 days left in auction. 108k miles.

    Sellers description:
Rare 1986 Jaguar XJSC two seat cabriolet with a v12 and the optional turbo 400 transmission. This is a "grey market" car that was purchased in Germany by a soldier stationed over there. When he came home he brought the car with him. This model was never exported to the U.S. by Jaguar. The v12 engine is a replacement engine and runs very strong. The original numbers matching engine will be shipped with the car if buyer wants it(it has too bad pistons. previous owner who had the swap done found that the rebuild would have been more expensive than the swap but I am sure there are Jag people out there that would think its worth fixing to have the original engine.).
The car drives beautifully and cruises down the road at just about any speed you may want to go. There has been a lot of work done to this car(around $30k) and we have all the receipts from the repair shop that did the work.

A note as to why the car is listed as a 1980 car. I am assuming that since this car is "grey market" and was not officially imported to the U.S. that the VIN is not recognized as a U.S. VIN # by Ebay's system. There is NO problem registering and titling this car.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
