This XJ-SC was despatched new to Hatfields of Sheffield in 1985. The identity of the first owner is uncertain, but could apparently have been a senior director of Raleigh Cycles of Nottingham. Whatever, the Jaguar was eventually acquired by a Leicestershire gentlemen who used it sparingly until his death. It then passed to his niece, from whom it was purchased by the vendor. Historical paperwork suggests the indicated mileage of just 14,200 could be correct. Certainly the XJ-SC appears to have led a very cosseted life, and the Cobalt Blue paintwork is original apart from a small level of remedial work around the arches to repair stone chipping. The 'Starfish' alloys have been refurbished to factory specification, the bumpers have been rechromed and a stainless steel exhaust system fitted. The vendor currently grades the bodywork and paintwork as 'excellent' and the V12 engine, automatic transmission and Doeskin leather interior trim as 'very good'.

Classified Ad price: £59,950, seller sgl1922, 14k miles, now said to be in Penn, United Kingdom.

Sellers description:

Finished in Cobalt Blue with Contrasting Doeskin Full Leather, this vehicle is a fully refurbished Jaguar Heritage vehicle with full Jaguar Manufacturer certification. The car is an immaculate example in need of nothing, with all functions fully operative and working, all covers and factory tool kits present, the car is absolutely stunning.

The XJ-SC Cabriolet was produced due to the American threat of banning convertibles and was introduced to satisfy clients that wanted an open top sports car. The car benefited from the top level equipment of the V12 with starfish Alloys and full leather trim.

The car comes with full Jaguar Heritage warranty.

Registration C174 WRY Chassis Number SAJJNACW3CC125005

Engine Number 8S036623HA

Immaculate condition

Extremely low mileage

This immaculate XJS-C HE was originally despatched to the franchised dealer Hatfields in Sheffield and was registered on 1st of August 1985. The car was then purchased by our vendor from Jaguar Heritage in Coventry in 2016, following an impressive restoration. The comprehensive list of works undertaken is detailed in the history file that accompanies this stunning and rare example of Jaguar’s modern classic. This Jaguar presents extremely well in the delightful colour combination of Cobalt Blue with a contrasting Doeskin interior. The low mileage reading of this car is believed to be accurate and adds kudos to this already desirable example. Offered to auction with a V5C registration document and a valid MoT test certificate (although exempt by age), this XJS is an opportunity to purchase one of the finest examples of the marque available in today’s market.
